Safeguarding Children 1-2hrs Online Course

Everyone, regardless of his or her age, gender, religion, ethnicity or background has the right to a healthy, happy life. Safeguarding is about minimising and managing the risks to vulnerable individuals.

This course, ‘Safeguarding Children’, is aimed at anyone who has a duty of care for, or comes into contact with children in their chosen profession.

During this course you will hear many facts, figures and details surrounding the risk to children, the types of abuse suffered, how to recognise the signs of abuse and key safeguarding legislations put in place to minimise the abuse of children.
Once you are able to recognise the signs of possible abuse, and know the steps you should take if you suspect it you will be better able to protect the children in your care.

Safeguarding Adults 1-2hrs Online Course

This course is aimed at anyone who has a duty of care for, or comes into contact with, adults in need of care and support, either as a paid professional or a volunteer. This includes, but isn’t limited to, those that work in domiciliary care, the NHS, community centres, prisons or with a family member at home, and sets out the roles and responsibilities everyone must undertake to protect an adult’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.

You will learn relevant facts, figures and details surrounding the risk to adults in need of care and support, the types of abuse suffered and key safeguarding legislation put in place to minimise the abuse of adults with care and support needs.

By the end of this course, you will be able to

• better understand safeguarding principles and how to apply them to their role
• define the key terminology in relation to safeguarding
• identify the principle laws that relate to safeguarding and why they have been put in place to minimise abuse

Personal Protective Equipment 1hr Online Course

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) plays a vital role in managing Health & Safety risks. By learning how and why you should use PPE, you are more likely to use it consistently and correctly throughout your work. This reduces your risk of injury significantly.

Our course demonstrates the crucial role PPE plays in preventing and reducing fatalities, injuries and diseases that may occur in the workplace. It includes details of a wide range of PPE options, examines the legislation and regulations that govern the responsibilities of employers, employees and suppliers, and provides a real-life case study showing the law in action.

You can subsequently build on his knowledge through our more detailed courses that cover specific hazards in the workplace.The course covers general health and safety issues that apply to a wide range of types of businesses and sectors, from office and retail environments to workshops and factories.

Working Safely 2-3hrs Online Course

Health and safety is one of the few areas where the law places specific duties specifically on employees. To protect individuals and businesses, it is important for employees know where this applies and how to adhere to the law. This is a great induction course in Health & Safety as it covers a wide range of topics in some detail. Most of the examples relate to the construction industry so it is perfect for those starting to work on a site for the first time.

Our course covers a wide range of topics including fire safety, asbestos awareness, working at height, COSHH, PPE and electricity. It also covers methods for improving safety performance and for protecting the environment.

ROSPA and IIRSM approval means that this course meets the rigorous standards of this leading industry body.

Paediatric First Aid

Paediatric First Aid 

This 12-hour course (6-hours for Emergency PFA), for groups of up to 12 people, covers the EYFS and OFSTED requirements for Paediatric First Aid. 

Also available as a blended e-learning course, 6hrs ONLINE / 6hr Class based.

On completion delegates receive a qualification valid for 3 years.

This is a First Aid Industry Body Accredited Course.

 

Paediatric First Aid - Outdoor Learning (Full Certificate)

This is a two day paediatric First Aid course, which includes looking at outside scenarios and is particularly well suited to Forest School practitioners and those providing outdoor learning. The course is OFQUAL regulated and has FAIB accreditation.

It is ideal for those needing to complete their two day first aid component required by the Forest School level three qualification, for those already qualified who need to renew their qualification, and for other professionals working with young children outdoors.

 

2 Hour Auto Injector workshop

This is a First Aid Industry Body recognised workshop for those who will be working with children who may require the administration of an auto injector.

On completion delegates receive a certificate.

First Aid At Work

First Aid at Work

This is a First Aid Industry Body & HSE recognised qualification for those requiring a full First Aid at Work qualification.  This is a three day workshop (or one-day for Emergency FAW).

Also available as a blended e-learning course, 6hrs ONLINE / 12hr Class based.

On completion delegates receive a qualification valid for 3 years.

 

Emergency First Aid at Work / EFAW for Schools

This is a 1-day course for groups of up to 12 people. This course covers the DFEE and OFSTED requirements for Emergency First Aid at Work for School staff.

On completion delegates receive a qualification valid for 3 years.

This is a First Aid Industry Body Accedited Course.

 

3 Hour Automated External Defibrillation (AED)

This is a First Aid Industry Body recognised workshop for those who wish to be proficient in the use of an AED.
